Atrium providing free sports physicals for student-athletes June 3

Atrium Heart of a Champion Day is June 3 at BofA Stadium

May 17. Have you ever been shocked by reports of a high school athlete suffering a heart attack on the first day of practice? Medical screening would help, and Atrium is doing it for free at Bank of America Stadium on June 3.

The free sports-specific health screening and educational program includes a review of the athlete’s medical history, a sports-specific medical and musculoskeletal exam, a heart exam and a vision test. The program is unique because of the heart screening, where all student athletes receive an electrocardiogram (EKG) from an Atrium Health Levine Children’s cardiologist.
