A compelling art exhibit called “Awakenings” will open at the Cornelius Arts Center on Saturday Sept. 19 during ‘Tawba Walk. The exhibit unites the art of four female photographers  for a visual exploration of the internal human experience. The opening reception runs from 6-8 pm and is sponsored by Cornelius Today and Business Today. An artist talk will take place at 7 pm. The High Ridge Pickers will provide live music courtesy of the Arts and Science Council. The exhibit runs through Nov. 23.
