Anna Agnes Hayes passed away peacefully at Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC at the age of 90 on April 20th, 2015.

She was born in NJ to legal immigrant parents, Anna and Peter Surovich . She is survived by a son, William Rocker of Corinth, NY and a daughter, Ann Marie Lloyd (Charles Lloyd) of Charlotte, NC.

Her life was difficult raising two small children alone, serving her non-English speaking parents and working at Corinth International Paper Mill first as a paper sorter and then as a machine tender.  She was married to Paul Hayes for 35 years and enjoyed their retirement and traveling.

She moved to Charlotte, NC in 2000, living with her daughter and later in assisted living in Harrisburg where she became a kinder and gentler person knowing the love of God.

Her ashes will be interred with her husband’s at Saratogal National Cemetery.
