Ada Jenkins Center Gala Raises $155,000

June 19. A spring fundraiser brought in $155,000 for the Ada Jenkins Center, one of the most important community service centers in our region. With services including a medical clinic, dental clinic, food pantry, workforce development, child and adult education and social work case management, the agency served nearly 3,000 individuals and families last year.

“We have more capacity to serve our client-partners – whether they need short-term access to services or are able to continue along the Investment Pathway program for a multi-generational approach to long-term economic stability,” said Georgia Krueger, executive director of the Ada Jenkins Center.

The event took place in April at the Huntersville Recreation Center. The 2020 gala will take place March 28.

The center has stood in Davidson for more than 80 years as a hub for education and community services.
