Peninsula Social District Hosting First Event
By Dave Vieser — The Peninsula Village Social District will host its first special event Saturday, Nov. 7, when it hosts “Mimosas and Motors” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event will take place in the parking lot between Peninsula Prime and H2 restaurants and feature a display of automobiles from AutoBarn Classic Cars of Charlotte.
Attendees can obtain special social district cups from participating eateries, allowing them to carry alcoholic beverages as they browse the vehicles. Peninsula Prime and H2 will also be open for brunch and lunch during the event.
The Peninsula Village Social District is the second social district in Cornelius. The first, the Lake Norman Social District, is located in Old Town Cornelius. Under state law and local regulations, customers may purchase alcoholic beverages in approved to-go containers from participating businesses and carry them throughout the designated district.
AutoBarn Classic Cars’ mission is to provide a simple way to market collector cars to a mass audience.
