Taste of Birkdale is returning to Birkdale Village on Saturday, Oct. 24, after a three-year hiatus.
The event will feature food and drinks from 10 Birkdale Village restaurants, an open bar and live entertainment. Tickets are $75 and participating restaurants include Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, bartaco, Bonefish Grill, Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop, eeZ, Fin & Fino, Kilwins, North Italia, Red Rocks and Suffolk Punch.
Local media personality Jacinda Jacobs will emcee the event. Split Second Sound DJ & Entertainment and Colby Dobbs will provide live entertainment.
The event is limited to people 21 and older. Tickets are available through Freshtix.
Taste of Birkdale will cap Birkdale Village Restaurant Week, which runs Oct. 17-23. Participating restaurants will offer limited-time dishes, pairings and drinks throughout the week.
Diners also will have a chance to win prizes, including Taste of Birkdale tickets, Birkdale Village gift cards and merchandise, by scanning a QR code at participating restaurants.
Complimentary self-parking is available in garages off Birkdale Commons Parkway and Lindholm Drive. Valet parking is located near the Birkdale performace stage for an additional fee.
The event is subject to cancellation or rescheduling due to severe weather. In the event of a cancellation, full refunds will be issued.
Proceeds benefit charity
Taste of Birkdale benefits Community Culinary School of Charlotte, a nonprofit that provides culinary training and job-placement assistance to adults facing barriers to long-term employment.
CCSC students also will host a table and serve a dish during the event, giving attendees an opportunity to sample their work and learn more about the culinary skills they are developing through the program.
