A new platform designed to connect real estate agents, promote local listings and create social media exposure is launching in Lake Norman this month.

Lake Norman Pitch, founded by Cornelius mortgage professionals Lani Wagner and Andy Wagner of Furrows and Wagner Lending Team, will bring agents together every other Thursday for a free, short-format event where they can pitch their listings directly to other local real estate professionals.

The inaugural Lake Norman Pitch event is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 20, from 11 to 11:45 a.m. at Torrence & Knox. Events will continue every other Thursday.

The Wagners, who relocated to the Lake Norman area from San Diego two years ago, are bringing the concept to the region after seeing success with a similar model in other markets. The idea is simple: Provide agents with a new opportunity to highlight properties, connect with other agents and create additional marketing opportunities for their clients.

During each session, agents will have 45 to 60 seconds to present a listing. A professional videographer will record each pitch, and the videos will be shared through Lake Norman Pitch’s social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, while tagging participating agents.

The Wagners said the long-term goal is to build a more connected local real estate community while creating a digital platform that increases exposure for Lake Norman properties and the agents who represent them.

“We wanted to create something that helps agents go above and beyond for their sellers,” Lani Wagner said. “This gives them another tool to market their listings while also building relationships with other agents in the community.”

In addition to social media exposure, each pitched listing will be featured on LakeNormanPitch.com. The events will also provide opportunities for agents to learn about upcoming listings, connect with buyers’ and listing agents, and participate in additional promotional videos.
