In an effort to promote Cornelius businesses and drive foot traffic during the final days of Small Business Month, the Old Town Cornelius Community Shuttle will hit the roads tonight to bus customers between retail stores and restaurants in the OTC footprint.

From 6-9 p.m., the newly-wrapped OTC activity bus will run a continuous clockwise loop on a predetermined route. Riders can board the free shuttle at any stop, but it starts running at 6 p.m. after a champagne toast at Nina’s Boutique in Antiquity.

The route includes stops at the following:

• Nina’s Boutique
• Eleven Lakes Brewing
• Chili Willi’s
• Boatyard LKN
• Peach Cobbler Factory
• Cool Fish

Case Warnemunde of Old Town Cornelius Inc. is organizing the event. The concept grew out of a recent meeting of the Old Town Business Collective, a group of downtown business owners who meet for drop-in happy hours at rotating locations on the first Wednesday of each month.

Warnemunde said the community shuttle events will continue on a regular basis, rotating between different businesses that are interested in participating.
