Governor appoints Rankin to statewide geo council

Alex Rankin, former chairman of the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce​,​ has been ​named to the North Carolina Geographic Information Coordinating Council​ by Gov. Roy Cooper. He is the representative designated to “enhance the ​efforts of geographic information coordination,” according to a press release from the governor’s office.
