Weekender: Zoe & Cloyd, science spooktacular and star gazing

Thursday Nov. 6- Sunday, Nov. 16

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike

See website for schedule. Davidson Community Players present Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, a play that revolves around a gathering of three middle-aged siblings at their country house in Bucks County. A beloved character-driven play. Tickets: $15-$45 (plus NC state taxes and fees). Recommended for ages 13 and up. Cain Center for the Arts.

Ghouly Gala: A Science Spooktacular

The Ghouly Gala is packed with hands-on activities, playful science tricks, and just the right amount of “spooky” fun—perfect for kids of all ages. Discovery Place Kids.

Friday, Nov. 7

House of Hair

8:30 pm | Nov. 7 . Extreme levels of hairspray, spandex, and pure, unadulterated ’80s rock and roll may cause spontaneous air guitar outbreaks and uncontrollable head banging. Boatyard LKN.

The Nomadic Jeweler Pop-Up

2-5pm | Nov. 6-8. Provides a one-of-a-kind permanent and custom jewelry experience. Stop by our pop-up to select your favorite jewelry chain to be custom fit as a bracelet, anklet, necklace or ring. The Grove at Birkdale Village.

Traditional Series: Zoe & Cloyd

7:30 pm | Nov. 7. Natalya Zoe Weinstein comes from a long line of klezmer and jazz musicians, and John Cloyd Miller, the grandson of bluegrass fiddling legend Jim Shumate, comes from bluegrass royalty. Tyler-Tallman Hall at Davidson College

Saturday, Nov. 8

Second Saturday: Divorce Workshop

9 am – 12 pm | This monthly event is for women who are trying to navigate through the early steps of separation and divorce, but are unsure how to proceed. Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce.

49th Annual Working Fingers Craft Show

10 am – 4 pm | Nov. 8. Showcasing a wide array of handmade items. Charles Mack Citizen Center, Mooresville.

Davidson Farmers Market

9 am – noon | every Saturday through Thanksgiving. Produce, flowers, meat and baked goods.Rain or shine. No pets. 120 S. Main St., Davidson, next to Town Hall between Main and Jackson streets.
