Nov. 5. Old Town Public House and BoatYard LKN hosted election night watch parties where Cornelius candidates gathered and eagerly awaited election results.

The race for mayor saw Denis Bilodeau ride to victory on the strength of a 508-vote margin upsetting incumbent Cornelius Mayor Woody Washam.

Cornelius commissioners Michael Osborne, Susan Johnson, Todd Sansbury and Robert Carney were re-elected and Planning Board member Colin Furcht also won a seat on the Town Board.

  1. Sorry I wasn’t able to stay out later with the team and celebrate. I had to get my kids home and in bed. Congratulations all around!
