Sept. 24. The 20th Annual Run for Green will take place on Saturday with three courses of varying distance around Davidson.

The 10K and 5k races begin at 8:00 a.m. and the 1-mile fun run starts at 8:05 a.m. from South Street. Organizers said they canceled the half marathon this year due to the ongoing construction of the roundabout at Robert Walker Drive and Davidson-Concord Road.

Additional race information and route maps are available here and registration details are located here. Race packet pick up will take place on the Davidson Town Green at 119 South Main Street from 6:30 a.m. until 7:55 a.m. on Saturday.

The Antiquity bridge at the end of South Street in Cornelius will be closed briefly in the morning for the start of the races. Additional closures include Lorimer Road from 6:00 p.m. on Friday until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, and South Street on Saturday from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
