Sept. 17. G.O.A.T. Pizza, the sports-themed restaurant developed by celebrity chef David Burke, has permanently closed.
The 4,100-square-foot restaurant opened in April 2024 but has been shuttered since July, when owners posted a note on the front door saying it was temporarily closed for the summer season and would reopen in September.
G.O.A.T. was the latest addition to Burke’s North Carolina portfolio, which included The Fox & Falcon by David Burke and Port City Club by David Burke. The Fox & Falcon closed last year, and Port City Club rebranded as Lake House Wine Bar & Grill last November without Burke’s involvement.
In a statement emailed to media outlets, Burke’s Victory Management Group confirmed G.O.A.T. “has closed and is insolvent. The corporation will be dissolved in accordance with New Jersey law.”
