Night Moves: North Meck Farmers Market adds evening dates

Sept. 10. Beginning today, the North Meck Community Farmers Market is moving three of its final five events to the evening after a trial nighttime market in August proved popular with local shoppers.

In addition to the usual mix of farmers, meat producers, specialty goods, flowers and plants, chefs and live music, the evening markets are expected to feature local breweries including Eleven Lakes.

The farmers market relocated to Cornelius Town Hall this summer under a partnership with Cornelius Parks and Recreation. It was previously held at the North Meck Recreation Center.

Here are the dates and times for the remaining markets:

• Sept. 10, 5–7:30 p.m.

• Sept. 17, 9 a.m.–noon

• Sept. 24, 9 a.m.–noon

• Oct. 1, 5–7:30 p.m

• Oct. 8, 5–7:30 p.m.
