Aug. 9. Ramsey Creek Beach will be closed Aug. 8-10 due to elevated bacteria levels. The elevated levels were identified during a routine weekly check by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services of the beach’s water quality. In a statement the county said that elevated bacteria level is likely a result of heavy rains.

Retesting will take place on Monday, Aug. 11. Information regarding updates on the beach will be posted on Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation’s social media pages and ParkandRec.MeckNC.gov.

Ramsey Creek Park will remain open.
