Weekend Weather: Mild temperatures stay with us

Aug. 8. With any luck the streak of 90-plus temperatures and exorbitant summer irrigation bills are behind us. If the brown patch in your grass looks like ours it’s a welcome reprieve from the soggy, hot summer.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. Northeast wind around 8 mph. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight with a low around 66. Northeast wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 82. East northeast wind around 7 mph. Saturday night a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: A chance of thunderstorms after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Sunday night a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
