June 30. Davidson leaders encourage community participation in the Plastic Free Challenge during  July.

This effort is inspired by and embraces the spirit of the Plastic-Free July global social movement striving to end plastic pollution.

The Davidson Plastic Free Challenge aims to raise awareness and mobilize the community, residents, town staff and local businesses to make decisive action in reducing plastic waste by recognizing the links between plastic pollution and other environmental issues, such as climate change and biodiversity loss.

This challenge is about doing what you can to reduce plastic in your daily life – not about being perfectly plastic free. Sign up to participate and be entered into a prize drawing for an eco-friendly prize, at Town of Davidson | Sustainability.
