Update: Power restored at 3:05 pm
Duke outage March 25
March 25. Power went out around 8:15 am for about 1,600 Duke Energy customers in areas on either side of Jetton Road, inbound from West Catawba. Power was restored shortly after 3 pm.
The original estimated time of restoration was 11:15 am and then it was revised to 5:30 pm.
The cause of the outage was an object came into contact with power lines.

It was entirely. It is after 9pm and we are still without power. They are guessing it will be restored around 7am!
We are without power in Mecklenburg County since around 1:43pm with an ETA of 4:45 pm. The reason for outage is listed as “planned”, but why weren’t customers notified? This is completely inconvenient and inconsiderate on Duke’s part.
