First responders, animal control and others can register for large animal rescue training

March 20. Mitchell Community College will host a large animal technical rescue training at Rescue Ranch; registration is open now.

4Hooves Large Animal Services will teach the training, centered around awareness and is a basic level training course.

This training course is recommended for all emergency responders, veterinary professionals, animal control, equine and livestock owners, and anyone who may ever be the on-scene of a large animal-related incident.

The training is $70 and advance registration is required by contacting Keith Menster at [email protected] or by calling 704-978-1340.

Special pricing is available for emergency responders and animal control employees and fees waived for volunteer/paid fire fighters, EMS, LE, rescue squad.

The training will be 12:30-4:30 pm Saturday, April 5, at Rescue Ranch, 1424 Turnersburg Hwy., Statesville.
