Easter sunrise service moves to SouthLake Christian

The 25th annual SouthLake Church community-wide Easter sunrise service leaves Ramsey Creek Park this year due to construction of a public beach. It will be held at South Lake Christian Academy, 13820 Hagers Ferry Road at Highway 73 in Huntersville. The service will begin at 7:30 am. The county is in the process of building the public swim beach at Ramsey Creek Park, which will be the first public swimming beach at a county-run park since the late 1970s, when swimming was banned after several drownings. The beach is expected to open this summer. Easter Sunday is March 27.
