2 LKN companies switch gears to make hand sanitizer

Jon Murto, founder of Murto Made
April 29. Murto Made Distillery and Mammoth Machine & Design are working together to make alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
“Our recipe will be Formula 1 (80 percent ethanol blend) in accordance with the World Health Organization, utilizing FDA approved ingredients from domestic suppliers,” said Mammoth’s George Brinzey, a former Cornelius Police community officer.
Brinzey launched Mammoth Machine, a contract manufacturer, in Huntersville. Murto is a self-named micro-distillery launched by Jon Murto in 3,200 square feet on Ramah Church Road.
Their surface and hand sanitizer comes in 55 gallon drums that cost $1,500 with free delivery within a 100-mile radius of Huntersville.
Brinzey said they will donate two, five-gallon buckets to the first responders of your
choice for every 55 gallons of hand sanitizer purchased.

Wonderful….but many, many businesses in this area can’t afford a 55 gallon drum, so it would be great to offer hand sanitizer liquid in smaller quantities, like 5-10 gallons, to help this community.
It’s awesome you’re doing this. Why not sell it to the public? People could bring their own containers like growlers to a pub. Plus more traffic for your distilled products….
