LKN Teen Council Executive Board, Sept. 11

All area teens from Cornelius, Huntersville, and Davidson are invited to the Lake Norman Teen Council Executive Board’s first meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Davidson Parks and Recreation Department Building (416 Armour St., Davidson).   The Lake Norman Teen Council is made up of teens in grades 6 - 12 who are in charge of creating programs and volunteer opportunities for their peers. 

Teens will learn about ways to volunteer for their community and about plans for fun teen outings, including bowling, skiing, rafting and more.  Teen Council members will also develop a curriculum and have the chance to plan trips, dances, fundraisers, workshops and many other exciting activities.  Refreshments will be provided at this meeting and parents are invited to attend.
