"The Lorax" Aug. 17, 8:30 p.m.
The public is invited to a free screening of “The Lorax” on the lawn of the EnergyExplorium at McGuire Nuclear Station on Aug. 17.
The movie will begin at 8:30 p.m. and will be shown on two large screens perfect for viewing by land or boat. Movie-goers are encouraged to pack a picnic and bring blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the show. In addition, boaters may anchor in the EnergyExplorium’s cove at the southern tip of Lake Norman. Movie concessions including ice cream and funnel cakes will be available for purchase. No pets are allowed.
Directions from I-77: Take I-77 to Hwy. 73 (exit 25). Turn west on Hwy. 73 (toward Birkdale Village). Go approximately five miles to the stop light at McGuire Nuclear Station. Turn right into plant entrance. Stay in right lane and follow signage to the EnergyExplorium.
