Precious Memories

Warehouse Performing Arts Center – Cornelius

North Carolina songwriter Si Kahn’s latest production is Precious Memories – a new musical that delves into the lives of the coal mining families in Eastern Kentucky. Kahn was given the idea to write this story by Sue Massek who slips smoothly into the role of Sarah Ogan Gunning, a Kentucky hill-country banjo- playing, singer, activist and songwriter. To round out his stellar team, Kahn asked veteran actor/director Divina Cook to direct the show. Together, Kahn, Massek and Cook make sure this brash, toe-tapping, heart-tugging story is told right.
